How to Get Points ?: A Guide to China's Social System is an edition intended as an ironic guide to highlight the control of the Chinese credit system ; the social system implemented in the country that aims to assign points to the population based on their actions. Everyone has a score, which places them in more or less advantageous positions in society. To reflect this theme, I chose to illustrate the guide using cutouts from old Chinese propaganda illustrations, in order to symbolize the conservative mindset of its government. The format of this book was strongly inspired by Quotations from Chairman Mao Tse-tung, a communist propaganda book published by the government of the People's Republic of China starting in 1964. The French version measures 95 x 134 mm, just like this guide, and both follow a structure where each double-page spread presents a different theme.
